HELP needed

Dear Jaguar owners in Poland and in this forum. Please help me find a good repair service in Poland.

I live in Copenhagen Denmark.

I have a problem with my XK8 that I bought in Germany the summer 2012. It has a knocking sound when cold and it disapears after 10 minutes.

I would like to hear if any of you know a cheap and GOOD repair service in Poland near Denmark (Nothern Poland) - 5 mechanics in Denmark has looked at the car but can't find out what it is without opening the engine and this is VERY costly in Denmark - I would therefore like to go to Poland and have it made.


Please let me know if you can help me find a repair service where the know what they are doing.

There are no independant Jaguar specialists in the norther part of Poland at all. You may think about the
official workshops, but that is no good idea. It may be a little bit cheaper (a little bit) than in Denmark
but the competence of specialist in ASO services is very poor in Poland, unfortunately. Altamira is the
best independant specialist for Jaguar in Poland, you will not find a better one. The trip from Gdansk
to Warsaw is some 4 hours, so it is not too bad. Good luck!

sounds like VVT failure or steering chain. do you know if the chain-tensioners were ever changed? they are
very delicate in the early production years of this engine. greetings from poland and good luck to you.
